Ready to welcome the holiday season Real. Fun. Beach. style? Join us Thanksgiving weekend for our annual Beach Home For The Holidays event. Wave goodbye to fall and help us set the stage for the most magical month of the year! Aaron Bessant Park serves as the site of carol-themed concerts, s’mores, fireworks and an appearance by Santa Clause and tons of activities for the kids!
Christmas Shopping
While Christmas shopping is popular throughout town during December, Pier Park takes it to the next level. You'll find more than 115 shops with holiday items, as well as first-rate seafood restaurants and entertainment options. Keep in mind that most of the shopping opportunities here tend to be on the higher-end side of things, but that doesn't mean you can't still find some great deals. Optimist Club Christmas Parade
Every year, the Panama City Beach Optimist Club holds a Christmas Parade with dozens of entrants. This nighttime parade in December 9 includes marching bands, floats decked out with Christmas lights and decor, fire trucks and sweet custom automobiles! Don’t worry about candy flying through the darkness to the spectator lined roads around Pier Park--all candy is handed out by parade walkers. Get into the holiday spirit with this special event for the whole community of residents and visitors alike.
Christmas Tree Photo Opportunity
Aaron Bessant Park, located adjacent to Pier Park, is home to a huge Christmas tree you won't want to miss. The 38-foot-tall tree is decorated with shining ornaments and bright lights from top to bottom. It's up for quite a while as well, from the week of Thanksgiving to New Year's Day, so it's easy to fit into your vacation when you visit for the holidays.
New Year's Eve Beach Ball Drop
Celebrate New Year's Eve on the beach! A family-friendly countdown at 8pm culminates with fireworks, live music and 10,000 beach balls being dropped over the crowd. As the seconds tick down to midnight, thousands watch the Celebration Tower as a glowing beach ball descends to signify the start of a New Year and kicks off a second round of fireworks!
